        Energy-Boosting Morning Routine For Golf

Golf Tips: Energy-Boosting Morning Routine For Golf

The key to a successful 18 holes is good preparation! Follow this Energy-Boosting Morning Routine For Your Golf Game.

Sure, it sounds corny. But that doesn’t make it any less accurate. You want to play well? Get your mind and body ready. This means it’s time to establish a sound, energy-boosting morning routine for golf that includes proven effective warm-ups to help you stay strong for 18 holes.

Naturally, the best morning routine begins with a good night’s sleep.

Your Morning Routine Starts the Night Before, to Improve Energy for Your Golf game

A good round starts with good preparation. A prepared mind and body is a well-rested one. Yes, this means you need to get your rest!

Chill out, pop some CBD to help you find that restful balance, and ease your anxious mind, then call it an early night and zonk out so you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go.

You can also get your gear ready the night before and have less to do in the morning. (We’re especially looking at you, the player who’s always late to the tee time.)

Getting things ready to go before bed saves you valuable time and energy the next morning. Layout your clothes, get your clubs ready to go, set your coffee maker, etc. Your foursome will appreciate it!

As the last part of your night-before prep, consider what you’re putting into your body the night before. Maybe not go for that third beer and/or ice cream. Eat a healthy dinner, and start your hydration the night before. No, you’re not running a marathon, but a full 18 holes is a long day out on the course, and you can help sustain your energy by eating a good meal and taking care of yourself the night before.

Then, establish a routine for the morning before your round. Here’s what that might look like.

        Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!

Surely you’ve heard, but our bodies are about 60 percent water. And just a little bit of dehydration can drain your energy levels out on the course. Reach for some H2O early and often to prevent that lag.

You can begin your hydration efforts the night before and then keep things going in the morning with a refreshing glass of water to start your day. Also, you can add a little lemon for extra hydration and energy boost.

We know you need coffee to function and want to reach for that cup to kick-start your morning, but “hydrate before you caffeinate” is a great motto to live by. Caffeine is not the enemy, but proper hydration will enhance your mental and physical function.

So, start with the water, then go for the coffee.

Boost Your Golf game with a Cold Shower in The Morning

We know, we know. This one might be tough and maybe a little shocking. But you know what? That’s the point!

Turbocharge your mornings with a cold shower first thing, and you’ll be energized right away. There’s real science behind the benefits of a cold shower, especially in the morning. It will give you a nice little jolt, eliminate stress, and even boost your immune system.

Breathe & Don’t Skip Your Stretches for Golf

It’s time to get moving! Wake up 15 minutes earlier than you normally would before your round. Try some deep breathes to cleanse your mind and body. It’s a nice little energy-boosting reset. Then, get moving. You can do yoga, some quick tried-and-true stretches for golf, whatever you like! The point is to get your body in motion for your morning golf routine.

Eat A Nutritious Breakfast in the Morning to Give Boost Your Energy All Day

Another golf tip from the pros: A healthy breakfast will give you lasting energy to help you through your day on the course. Think foods like:

        • Eggs/egg whites
        • Whole-grain toast
        • Avocado
        • Berries
        • Smoothies
        • Oats/oatmeal

Get some food in you to sustain you through the morning. And yes, it’s perfectly okay to pack some snacks.

Hit the Freeway Early, So You Can Hit the Fairway Early!

Hey, you again! Late guy (or gal)! Listen up. Here are a few more pro golf tips.

Get there early, so you don’t have to rush through your golf warm-ups and don’t wait until the last minute to head to the course. Factor in the time you’ll inevitably lose because of traffic, parking, running into that chatty course member, etc.

Not only that, but you’re wasting energy rushing around that you should be saving for the course! Save that for your stretches for golf.

Arriving early ensures you have plenty of time to ease through the rest of your pre-round routine. You can move slowly and relax. You’ll be unphased by any hang-ups.

You’ll even have time for that inevitable last-second pre-round bathroom visit. Yeah, you’ll want time for that.

Golf Warm-Ups: Stretch Before You Swing

Don’t just walk up to the first tee and crank one! You need to go through your “warmies” first. Don’t skip it! (This is a huge reason to get there early.)

Skipping your warm-up is how you tweak something. A good stretch helps you loosen up and build energy to sustain you through the round. Your exact golf warm-up method is up to you, but generally looks something like this:

Start with putting, move to your short game with some chips and wedge shots, then build to turn things loose. It’s also a good idea to simulate your shots as they will be on the course. Take a drive, then an iron shot, then a wedge. This gets your mind and body into the swing of things. (See what we did there?)

***For reference, here’s a shot-by-shot warm-up routine from Jordan Spieth. He’s pretty good!***

Time your Morning Golf Routine Right

While getting to the course early is excellent, you don’t want to just dive into your golf warm-ups. Time them so you finish your pre-game exercises a few minutes before you walk to the first tee. You’ve only done the work to stretch and get loose, and you don’t want to stand still and stiffen back up.

Keep things moving if you have to with stretches and slow swings, but if you can help it, time your warm-ups so you finish, then walk straight to the tee.

        Have Some Golf Gummies

We’d also recommend adding Golf Gummies to your pre-round routine. Pop two in the parking lot or during your warm-ups, and they’ll have kicked in by the time your round begins. Then take one every 3-4 holes, or as you se fit

Enjoy a natural boost of energy and clarity from Green Tea, Vitamin B12, and CBD goodness.

        Enjoy The Day

        Now you’re ready. You’re relaxed. You’re prepared. You’re energized.

Step up to the tee with confidence and drive that sucker down the fairway.
